Nothing much to report. Water was clear, fish were small, and that's about it! It was great to take my Dad out, and even though we didn't ice any keepers, we had a really good time. I really hope this weather doesn't ruin the ice. I really need to get a mess of perch, and soon. Can't seem to hit em' at the right time this year.

Good luck out there!

you left to early, we were getting ready to leave just after noon with a bad morning of dinks or no fish, then a big school came in, than another one, and another one, we would only go about 15 minutes between schools and all of them were attacking at the same time. we only came home with about 30 over 8 inches, but if we kept 6's and 7's we would of limited. we were out by the barge. we only got 2 over 10 inches, but there were bigger ones in the hole but i think they need glasses cause when the big ones attacked the spoon, they miss or bump it and they had a hard time getting it in their mouth before another one hit. it was fast action like way it is at last ice.

I fished down that way for th last 4 weekends. They have been hitting best between 12 - 2. I came home yesterday with 18 and my buddy had 30+. All the fish were between 8" - 11". I would have caught more but I fell through at 9am and had to run home to dry off and change. I made it back about 10:30 and he had moved into the spot I cleaned up on them last week. Whe we left we were walking through 3" - 8" of water and slush, it will probably be the last tripof the year for this spot.
