Are any of you guys going to be on Croton next weekend? Any info on the contest?

My step dad is paying our way up there so he can take my daughter to it. I get to fish too of course :)

Gonna be kind of touch and go with 5 or 6 days in the 40s and rain several days.

That's what I was thinking. Looks like it's going to be cold at night for a few of the nights so maybe it will keep it a little firm. How much ice you guys have up there?

Can't speak about Croton but all the lakes I've fished in the area have anywhere from 10 to 18 inches of ice........

Is that contest limited to croton pond?

Would like to try the lake over in Morley so if the fish aren't biting I can watch the folks from the window of the Mozey... :lol:

I will be up on Hardy tomorrow afternoon. Will post back with ice conditions. Unless it gets real warm with a good amount of rain the ice should still be good next weekend. In areas with a heavy current, it could be a different story.

the fishing contest is dam to dam croton to hardy. I fished it the first year they had it and got screwed out of first palce with the largest gill they said they had a late entry and gave the prize to someone else not to sure if i want to fish a crooked fishin contest !!!!!!! late entry sould have never been able to enter at all. just my two cents but it was bullship!!!!!
