Fishing this morning was fast and furious. All caught on trusty kens spoon> well my buddy got some on minnows also. they were very aggresive it was a blast.fished in about 6ft of water with a nice weed bed just on the outside of the shanty hole.hope i set this pic right. if not it is in my profile http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=1062&pictureid=6307

thanks it,s about time. been seing them all year and they wouldnt touch nothing but this morning they were on fire.Taking my father in law out in the morning and i,m hoping it wont be one of those ..you should of been here yesterday type things.

How hard of a walk is it to or near this area?I want to get outside and go fishing.

it is not to hard of a walk i huffed it out there alot of traffic so the snow is well packed. Might get interesting with this warm weather coming though

I dont know about that robert hoover sound like it only took him 45 minutes for a nice batch yesterday.Those were caught in about 2.5 hours.With myself and a buddy

How do I get to the Salt with a quad. I get nervous around the point at Lottievue!

Me too...I would never chance it in that Lottieview area. Just go out of the Hall Road DNR site, its only a couple miles north and there are some pretty smooth "roads" out there now running along the shore about 600 feet out.

Mark, the marina there does allow parking there. $5. Im not sure if they have a ramp, but imagine they do! I think you have a place to access at cotton right? Just head out of there and hang a left! Its not too far, we were walking to where the guys were fishin from the salt from cotton.

Nice job. I never fished the salt, but Im usually close. Havent got out much this year

I'll give it a go.......I didn't know how far it was.
