25 keepers in the Gino's area today. 7 feet deep. Pretty nice fish to 11.5 inches.

Words of advice:
1.Keep moving until you see big fish.
2.Switch baits as often as you can possibly stand. I know a lot of guys believe in the old "wait for the big fish to move in" theory, but believe me, if you saw big fish they're still around. I switched baits at least 30 times today. Most times, a new look triggered one or two big ones, then back came the dinks. Switch up again, another bigger fish. Atom Nuggies / rapala / kens spoons / forage minnows / live minnows on hook and light weight.
3. Work your baits as fast as you think you can, then work them faster.
4. If a small fish grabs your bait, let him swim with it a second. Watch the big ones come in...

Hope these tips help out. Fishing is picking up.

You and about 2000 friends. I will be out as well.
I just hope Trucks and sleds don't buzz me. I was outside of the pack a couple of weeks ago and 2 trucks go by.
1 about 50 yards away pulls up and set up I could hear him coming from far away.

Any one heard from Houghton Laker latlely? Heading up to houghton next weekend.

Go to Higgins and get some smelt. I could point you in the right direction if you care to try it. Check my profile for some pics. If you look close at the mostly green pic, you can see the school swimming by.
