I'm making trip to the Selfridge area with my father-in-law and uncle to fish perch the Feb. 16th, 17th, and 18th. I've never been down before, but have heard good things. Can anyone help me out with some information, we are coming from the Ludington area. I want to show the relatives a good time on the ice.

..... I want to show the relatives a good time on the ice.
Bring beer!:lol::lol:
Got it out of my system. Take a look at the "sticky" google map at the top. It shows most of the spots on the bay. There's a DNR site at Selfridge to get on the ice.
Which spot is hot depends on the day. What is hot yesterday is probably not hot today. Read the posts. With 3 days you can try all the spots, don't be afraid to move!
Good luck.

cover water! Make some moves to locate fish. id get as deep as possible right now! Alot of pressure on em in tight as well as noise from machines. minnows on tear drops and spikes on tear drops and kens spoons!
Jiggeneyes is right!!! Ya gotta move a lot right now and find the fish.None of that two or three holes and your done for the day,no way!! Early March that might work when the fish are on the bite,but not right now.I have found them shallow though so you just gotta do some hole poppin to find em'.

I was over at selfridge tuesday from 8-4,you guys aren't kidding mobility is a must.Didn't see much action other than a whale of a pike,which was cool.Then at around 3 the fish turned on big time it was nuts,dinkville but still fun...im thinking maybe some after work fishing say 430 -630 might just be worthwhile
I know it's ussually 6 bucks to park but Tuesday there was no one in the shack!Free parking!:D Do you guys know if there are certain days there's no one there or did I just dodge him?
