I have been using suffix ice line this season so far for panfish and I have been impressed. I haven't seen it in hi vis yet, although the other lines suffix make come in it, so maybe soon?

I also tried out the fireline crystal (with a floro leader)on my heavier rods for walleye and laketrout and have been impressed also. It doesnt get as stiff as powerpro (and other superlines i have tried) when its cold, the water usually just beads up on the line and you can flick it off the line easily. Great hooksets in deepwater too!

I am respooling for an upcoming trout trip. I am told the rest of the guys run 8lb mono.

I see good things about Berkley Vanish.

I like trilene micro ice the best..I use 3lb for panfish, I wouldn't go any higher than 4lb for trout. I don't use higher than 4lb for trout when it's soft water season so I wouldn't go any higher on the hard water
