When a retailer or company treats their customers good and stands behind their product, I like to let others know..

Last year I bought a fish trap guide and I absolutely love it. But on the first trip of the year this year, I noticed some unusual wear and tear on the tent. There weren't any holes in the material, but it looked like hundreds of tiny pin pricks. I called clam corp and asked them about it, they had me fax them my receipt and being that it was less than a year old, they completely replaced the tent without question. Seeing that it is ice fishing season, they gave me 90 days to mail them a portion of the damage material and within 24-48 hr of receiving it, they would send out a new tent. I sent the material in on Friday and just got home to a brand new tent. Take it for what it's worth, but I think it was worth passing along. Clam Corp is A+ in my book!

Not often do you hear about good business practice........I also dealt with Clam a couple of years ago. It was the best customer service I've had in a long time. And no, I did not get anything free......the customer service was very patient and helpful when I needed extra parts for my worn out shanty.

Glad you guys had such good service. I on the other hand sent an e-mail to the customer service asking a couple questions regarding the issues I had with the anchor kit I bought and issues with the poles on my fish trap guide that I just purchased in December and didn't get a reply.

Try calling them. In my experience, it seems like most customer service departments don't even bother to check their e-mail.

I appreciate the info. Good customer service seems harder and harder to find these days.

I had a question for them, sent an e-mail and got a response next day. I was happy with that.

I also had good service with them. Mice chewed a hole in my canvas called to ask if I could buy any patch material, they sent me the patch material at no cost in less than a week with instructions on how to adhere the patch material.

I couldnt ask for anything better

:coolgleam Two winters ago, I had a problem with the floor of my new Clam 2000. The bucket cut-outs were weak and began to crack after only a few trips. I called ClamCorp and they said they had been getting several complaints about the same thing happening from other purchasers. They informed me that the were having new floors made, and when they came in, they would ship one to me. All I had to do was fax them a copy of my purchase receipt. They also told me that I would get a "fresh" one year warranty on the new floor from the time I received it. I had to use the damaged one for the rest of that winter (the new ones weren't shipped until May or June), so my new new floor warranty was good until the following May. They were very helpful and apologetic about the inconvienience. Stretching and installing the old fabric on the new floor, by myself, was a chore, but I've had no problems, since. :fish:
