Was wondering if any of you hunt with or shoot the Bear light's out bow and what your thoughts/opinions are? My girlfriend is taking up bowhunting this year and this is the bow she has decided on.:) Appreciate any of your thoughts.

Check WMUAngler. I'm pretty sure he bought one just before last season.

I don't shoot a Lights Out but I do shoot Bear, the Instinct to be exact.
I can tell you that I have never had an issue with my bow and the quality and fit and finish on the bow is great.

I did and I love it. It was my first new bow in about 10 years though, so any of the new bows would have been a huge step up from my Golden Eagle Predator. It's light, shoots plenty fast, it's compact, and the price was right. I killed my first buck with it and I don't have any complaints. Plus the first new bow I ever bought was the Bear Cub, so I think I'm brand attached.

I just bought the Lights Out after the season ended so I havent had a chance to hunt with it yet. I had an old Horizon prior to getting this new bow, so there is not much to compare b/w the two (new bow is wicked sweet :)).
My only complaint with the bow is a clicking noise the occurs right before I'm at full draw. I can't tell if the cam is flipping over and causing the noise or if the cams are touching the limbs. Hope this helps

I appreciate the feedback. My girlfriend who is going to start hunting this year, ordered their new Lights Out darkhorse model. Pretty sweet looking bow. I live in Gainesville,Fl only about a mile from their manufacturing facility/pro shop so I get a look at a lot of Bear's new stuff. Had her shoot a few models and draw back several others and this one felt the best to her.
She is really excited about the upcoming season. She found a big shed on her folks farm in Perry, GA. If the other side matches, will score around 142". Should be even bigger next year.:xzicon_sm:dizzy:
She'll be coming up to hunt the Glennie area with me at the end of October this year. Told her not to expect too many like that up there.
