for numbers of perch and a few of the giants try cooks bay or by gorgenia island. for just giants and not the numbers try kempenfelt bay right in barrie. not sure on stickers or anyof that but i would call up there because they have lots of snow and lots of slush and atvs are having a very hard time getting around from what i hear.

google lake simcoe area message boards lots of info there

I've fished Simco the last 5 years, This year the windstorms blew up ice big time and 75% of the places I frequent are inaccessable this year. But there is still a ton of places to fish. The northern end, Cook inlet near the town of Sutton has a number of bed and breakfast places, Fishing on the inlet is good, and I dont think the ice got piled up there, ( I fished the lower end near Beaverton early Jan. and its O.K.) The southern end is accessable. Go to a bait shop and they have a Simco tourist book of places to stay, restaurants ect. As to ATV'S, I carry Insurance papers and regristration, as I was told to by an officer there years ago. There is no orv sticker required....Be aware that ATV'S are not as good as snowmobiles...last year the snow was deep and I was resigned to fishing thoes areas where the fishhut rental snow cats went first. and then I took a plastic snow shovel to dig my self out frequently, and I have 4 wheel drive. Snow drifts are deep now..Theft is a possibility, watch your stuff, Hope this helps.
