Ok, now that I have got it what is the best settings to put this on. I plan on using the graph most of the time but I see there is chart speed, auto, manually, and about 100 other settings to put this thing on. I will be mostly fishing 20 to 45 feet of water.

Chart speed 100%
Ping speed 100%
Don't run it in auto for anything.
Turn on chart manual mode, its in the sonar options menu.
Adjust the sensitivity so your jig looks like a black line.

:yeahthat:

Since you've turned off auto depth make sure you select the right depth manually each time.

Wouldnt it be best to do "auto depth" first until you actually sit down to fish and then adjust it to manual? That seems to make more sense...what if your on a dropoff and it's actually 30' deep and you have it set for 20?

You can still see the correct depth on the screen, so you can adjust from there. Any auto settings is the wrong way to fly. Plus do a little searching all the answers are there to get you going quickly.

When you adjust your sensitivity how far down will you be able to see your jig? They guy at Jay's told me maybe 10 feet.

Depends on the jig size. I can mark very small fiskas pretty deep. Down to at least 25ft. Now a jiggin rap on the other hand, you can mark that baby as deep as you wanna fish!

Yep.
I fished 50-60fow the past 2 weekends and I had no problems.

That's the thing with these...you can set them up to your taste in a myriad of ways.

For example....

Fishing on the bottom @42 fow.

You can use the single screen and set the upper limit to 35 and the lower to 43....you only see that section of the water column.

Or...use the split screen with one side on 4X zoom and scroll it where ya want the zoom so you can still monitor the right side that has the full water column.

Or...use the flasher...or use the flasher with the zoom on the left side.

In any color combination you want.

Versatility.
Customization.
Power.
Happiness.:)

Yeah I just have to figure out how to use the bugger one way before I get into the split screens and zooming and that other fun stuff. If I set it up tonight the way I want it will it save it so when I go tomorrow most of the settings save. I can't wait to use this thing...:corkysm55
