i need the name of an insurance company that will insure machines over 600 cc. the company i have used for 3 years sent me a letter that once my policy was over (oct 2002) that it would not be renewed. it seems that the company will no longer carry snowmobile policies.
i have been procrastinating because i know how much of a pain it was to find a reasonably priced policy last time. any help would be great!
thanks
mike

I am looking to get a sled in the near future. Does one have to have insurance in order to get a trail permit or is this something required by the lender?

you do not have to have insurance for a trail permit in michigan. if you have a loan on your machine your lender will require you to have insurance. just like on a car loan.

Try Foremost...They insure the "Yooper mobile" (RV) and its a great deal. Unlimited road service anywhere in the U.S. and Canada for $40 a year...They are out of Detroit or G.Rapids...They might also insure sled's...
