Jon,

I heard the same thing. A couple friends of mine made some calls to the Marquette Area on 11-25-02 and the is rumor that there is close to 4 foot on the ground now.

There is also a Lake Effect Snow Warning for Calumet. Looks like the first trip maybe north of the bridge for Iceman and myself.

Marquette to munising got hit this week, somewhere around 20-25 inches which has compacted to around a foot. Some machines have been out but after a couple go thru we can see the ground. Negaunee which usually gets more than MQT. only has a couple inches on the ground. Snow warning for saturday- heavy snow at times.

I drove down to Rhinelander Friday early to buy a new freezer to stuff the three deer in and as soon as I got across the border it was all brown! The Pickle belt was the same way...I heard the TV6 weather man say that you guys still had green grass all around! You should have a foot this am though!? We got over that last night...total for the year is over 4 feet here too...The weather channel finally said something about us, you know how they are...Buffalo this, Buffllo that! I remember when we and Petosky got that 8+ feet last year one weekend...It was still all about Buffalo! Doesn't bother me...prefer to be kept out of the news if you know what I mean...tell them to Buck a Fuffalo! Ha!

About 10 inches on the ground but blowing around alot, creating some bare spots. Snowing right now and should get another 10 inches tonight with more on the way monday. I drove thru 75 when petosky got the 8 feet of snow last year. While driving thru they were saying streets were ccosed and roofs were collapsing.
