Shanty days is in Caseville, home of the extremely popular Cheeseburger festival which im sure most of you guys have attended or heard of.

Shanty Days is Casevilles winter festival. They have an ice fishing tournament put on by the local bait shop walsh's. Prizes daily for the biggest walleye, perch, and pike caught.

It is a great time with lots of activites and things to do for you and your family, and of course lots of ice fishing. It is simmilar to "Tip Up Town" up in Houghton lake.

I am unable to give the link because i do not have enough posts on this forum yet. but just go to google and type in shanty days caseville and it is the first one that comes up. Once you are there at the top of the page click on "other festivals" and click shanty days.

does anyone else go to this festival?

happy birthday ahead of time!

do you usually fish right there outside of the marina? or along the breakwall?

what methods worked the best for you?

message me if needed.

I don't usually fish in any festivals, too much comotion and noise, along with alot of idiots. If I go, I see the sites, watch the activites and relax in the hospitality tent.:D

go fish wild fowl bay mud creek you have an excellent chance to catch fish there perch pike crappie smallmouth and large mouth bass an ocassional lake trout burbot you never know what you'l get,and you will have room to move around away from the crowds.in town on ice snomobiles galore up and down river all during the festival chance at catching a fish there on river is nill at best! i been living here since 1978 and the noise and commotion and trying to even find a parking place by the breakwall are slim!
