My friend and I fished about 1/2 mile out from Bud's. We started fishing 8:30 till noon. Fished 9 fow, you could see bottom. Ice was about 9-10" thick. Nothing but dinks passing through. Tried waxies, multicolored spikes, minnows, jigging raps with red Jensen egg - nothing. They only nibbled on Ficious jigs with multicolored spikes, but even then I could not hook one. Very light bite. nice being out, but no fish to show for it. While packing up the jeep, I talked to 3 different groups of guys and they all had the same story.:(

Yea, I did Fair Haven too. I've never seen so many dinks in my life. At one time I could see about 30 dinks chasing my wax worm. I played keep away all day because I was sick of unhooking the little buggers. I came home with four. I think I'm going to get a spear for those lock jaw fellas.

I was closer to Tin Fish on Anchor Bay. I saw perch right away and first one of the season for me was about 9 inches. (late start, been sick) I was pretty excited to see more zoom in. But then Mr. Musky cruised by the hole very slowly almost as if he was flipping me the bird. I mean dead center showing off. Didn't see a fish for hours after that. Saw a couple clouds of dirt fly a few times so that punk must've camped out there for the day. Nice weedy spot too. I would've moved but walking in knee deep snow was tough. I guess one of the downsides of having a spot no one else visits.

We got there late to the Tin Fish...nothing! Did see one green cloth shanty and wonder if that was you Meaty Man? I think we got there after the musky as we saw zippo. Moved to Meldrum Rd and saw one dink. Typical Anchor Bay fishing for us :(

How far out have you been Fishing? My in-laws live down the road on the water and haven't ventured out too far.
Thanks Phil

No I was not able to make it out today, I have a dark blue almost black in color Viking shanty. I usually like to fish early until around noon. I did pass by Tin Fish this morning around 8:15 and there was only 2 guys on backets. When I came back by at 11:00 they were gone. Was that you out here?
Best of luck to you on your next trip.

Not very far out. Maybe 100 yards? The snow was tough walking through.
