How is the ice thickness out of there? Are they getting dinks like every where else? Was thinking about hitting it in the morning and was wondering if it is worth coming from Livonia. Thanks in advance.

not sure about dinks at SANG, but i did cotton rd today, 3:30pm-5:30pm and that was dinks. talked to a guy coming off, he fished all day, caught a whopping 8 perch, not good

Doesnt seem worth the trip from Livonia maybe I should find a lake closer lake to fish.

I live on the lake at Cotton Road and the fishing is so bad I am going to Livonia! Rather spend time with the grand kids than catch dinks! But trust me there will come a time when the jumbo's come in.

I'm beginning to think the same thing. I talked with a couple of old timers yesterday when I came off the ice. We started sharing "theories" on the terrible fishing. The one gentleman said,, " ya gotta remember,, we got pretty good ice a few weeks earlier than we normally do".. Normally we only kick and scream about the dinks for a week or two until the good ones start showing up. I'm hoping he's right.

my dad was a old timer, rest his soul. and when we would go out in the Raft/Faihaven area mid 70's, we hammered them, usually fished 8am-noon and you were done. i could be wrong, but i dont think they had limits then, or hope they didnt. :lol:
