Anyone have any problems with new blades? I put on new blades on my 8" lazer manual auger. I have only cut 5 holes with them and now its not cutting holes. It just seems like its not digging in. The first day I used it seemed fine. But today it was like the auger is just spinning:rant:

I may have read it here? I don't remember but one solution was to put a small shim under the blades aprox the thickness of a piece of paper..Supposedly it changes the angle of the blades and they will cut better... I have not tried this ...Yet! :dizzy:

If you check out the companies website maybe you can fix the problem. I think they said the new blades need to be tightened down good and not to push down on the auger. I think they also mentioned that if the blades still do not cut, the angle of the cutting blade could be off because the auger blade mount could be bent. The solution to that is to buy a new one or adjust the angle with some washers behind the blades.

Thanks for the help. I will check out their website. Auger is almost brand new too. So I doubt that the auger mount is bent. :)
