I might go out. I will keep an eye out for your shanty if I do.
I have an old black Frabil and will have a orange home crapo bucket out side my shanty. I will bring a radio.

I'm thinking Gino's as well early tomorrow. I've only been out of crocker DNR but I'm tired of ending up what appears to be in front of Gino's and then having to hoof back around the front of the marina. I guess I'll take my radio. I hope the walking conditions have improved. Never been to Gino's, how much $$ and is there anything I need to know??

its $5 to park, nothing really to special you need to know. just dont leave your stuff unattended. you can walk out about 3/4 of a mile and be in 12' of water.

You were asking if the ice is thick enough for quads? I saw a full size truck out there the other day and it had to be 1/2 mile out and it looked like it was going to metro on the ice. I could not believe this guy.

Walking hasn't improved much. Those 15" powder drifts were turning into "sludge" when I came into today:(. 5 bucks to park at Gino's on the weekend and it get's pretty crowded, pretty fast.
The walk SUCKS. I'm in pretty good shape, I still need to stop for a break. For some stupid reason I leave the quad at home. But not the next time I go out.

I ran outside the pack going to metro on the new ice and I hit alot of slushy spots out there...Hit 1 deep enough to catch the ski tip too..That sucked.
It was had to tell in some spots too...what I thought was ice was slop and vice versa....so I just went faster

I was in between crocker & gino's this evening.....i personally seen maybe 5 or 6 vehicles on the ice today. Two of them were f-250's. Lots of ATV's & snowmobiles....drilled thru at least a foot of ice where i was...
