Yeah, he got them right on good old Lk St.Clair alright, its called Mitchells Bay!!!:lol::lol: Because all i get when i fish this side anymore, (which isnt much) is DINKS.......Its been YEARS since i pulled a limit of Perch through the ice on this side.....Always sucks for me......IMO Good job on the fish.....:)

Fishing the American side is a far cry from Canadian side. Spikekiller you can have the 3-7 inch specials all day long over here. I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with all the Canada BS. Just means More fish for those of us that understand the U.S. side is the nurserery, the Canadian side is for good size and numbers.

I think by your screen name, your looking for "Small" animals as well as your "Small" Perch. Thats OK, its Legal, Right......Just dont go chasin Young girls, thats not LEGAL, and you can find yourself in trouble.....;) For all the time you go chasing perch for Maybe 10 to 20 8" fish, I can go over to Canada on any givin day and find 50 Quality fish. When I was a Snot nosed kid like yourself, I really didnt understand the Canada thing. Expirence is everything Son, and when you realize that, you will become a better fisherman.

Most of the guys that say they dont like Canada, have some kind of underlining reason not to like it. A couple Drunk Drivings or perhaps a Drug offence or 2 that hinders your ability to cross the boarder. Either way, more fish for us......OH CANADA.....

Whats happening with this site, it used to be about people trying to inform others about Fishing, not putting people down about their abilities. If thats what you want to do Spikekilla, go to Greak Lakes.com, they will welcome TOOLS like you with open Arms......

as for you insinuating an underlying reason for not crossing the border let this be known. i cross daily as a truck driver (FAST APPROVED), so throw that theory out.

on to the bigger point. remember the good old days when we could cross the border and turn our $100 into $150+? now its almost par. thats a huge wiff of trouble. therefore i choose to spend my money at u.s. baitshops, at u.s. fuel stations, and in the u.s. economy. $60+ for a license... c'mon.

com'on spike!! hoover is a icefishing machine, and he is the type of guy

Ha Ha Thanx for the entertainment guys. Who needs a dictionary when you can install IeSpell on your computer and check before you send. Most guys are terrible spellers. At least the ones that liked to chase skirts, dream of fishing and hunting and parting instead of school.

Truth be told the American side of the lake isn't what it used to be. The Canadian side isn't either but The quality of fish is better. Ya got to go where the fish are at the time. Heck I just spent 40 bucks on gas to get 3 eyes in Sag. bay. Worth every penny.

I think we can all agree the lake is not as good as it used to be, at least in Michigan water. IMO there are a variety of reasons for this - cormorants, zebra mussels, a ridiculous muskie population, A holes on the ice that leave all the little guys to freeze and catch 2 or 3 limits a day (not the case recently, obviously). We used to catch limits of jumbos on a pretty regular basis 4 and 5 years ago - that doesn't happen much anymore and the guys I fish with are retired and on the ice every single day.

AMEN Fishnut!! Just let them all think there ROCKSTARS!! I only have to prove my fishing abilities to my plate on the table w/some deep fried fish!! Every squirrel finds a nut every once an awhile!! Do it on a regular basis, than you can puff your chest up! I fish Canada with Hoover and he forgot to mention that we also fish there to stay away from some of the tools! Fish where ever you want to in my book... I love fishing Canada because you can be smacking fish and you won't have some guy come drill a hole 2 feet away from you!
