Well.. looks like none of the hundred or so people out of Metro Beach day sail launch have reported in.. So I'll do it.

Not much to report really... Fished about 6 fow from 8am to 2pm caught a 6incher a 7incher and a dink too small to mention here. Partner got skunked.

Snow was packed down pretty good by machine tracks so walking was lots easier than it was last Sunday. Water clarity was decent. Freakin'
reeds all over the place though.

Saw ones and twos of some kemo-slabby convicts wandering by.. This happened all day with no, none, nada, zero hits. Just mindless stares from the biggies for a minute or two.. and off they swam.. slowly!
Threw the kitchen sink at em too. My partner.. lets call him Moe-Ron,
left the spear in the car!

Moe Run??? Nice one! Well, thanks for the report Icefisher. Me and my uncle had the same results last weekend, except we almost got plowed in by the early morning plows!

But it was still worth the trip!;)

I always see alot of guys out at metro day ramp, and find that nobody likes to report in either. :dizzy: But they sure check the post don`t they.
I always report in. so mabe some guy with a weak heart , or bad knees doesn`t kill himself walking thru 12" of snow.

# 1 what launch
#2 what direction
#3 how deep water
#4 how thick the ice.
#5 time frame.
#6 success/ or ?
#7 overall general conditions.

I`ll keep the rest to myself.

that`s all i ask , but i did here the warm up on friday the 23rd
is going to turn on the fish.

I`ll report tommrrow.

Any of you guys ever try in the first two canals south of the dail sail ramp? Two years ago I had great January action in there then it was all dinks the rest of the year. Had to go straight out the mouth about 200yds to get em after that. Unfortunately, my buddy got divorced and moved out of my parking spot on Seaway.

Ditto on the bite here to.I dont think its the place your fishing rather the bite right now is none ??due to weather or just not hungry? to many predator fish moving the perch around..it wasnt a fact of color type or presentation of lure or bait,we thru eveything atum...IT s january in Michigan...On the good note there are nice fish out there,I seen with my own eyes...Good Luck Mark

I was out there thursday from 3-5 pm. Went out to the right, away from all the crowds. Water there was stained, lots of weeds floating. Caught 3 rock bass and one fat 11 inch perch. Not a single dink. Thanks to the guys on the four wheelers that kept driving 10 feet from me back and forth:coco::coco::coco:, I don't know what they were thinking:rant:
