Gills got to love em

Fished Fair Haven today. Got 25 gills by 2:00 put 9 back. Got 9 more and put 4 back. Caught 2 more and was a happy camper. I would post a pic of these monsters but they are packed in ice for the night. Bet they average 8 inches. Going back bright and early for more.:fish:

If it wasnt for gills I still probaly wouldnt have caught any fish to bring home this season.:)

IMO, a batch of fried up gills are as good as it gets. And did you put them on ice without cleaning them first? If so, I find this taints the meat. If not than heads up to anyone who wantd to wait till the next day to clean them. Their never good good if you dont clean them right off the bat.

John I wanna fish with you :evil: you see I`m back allready, 2 1/2 hr. drive up, hit the lake at 8:00, 4 fish by 9:00 one 12", three 9"-10" thought it was going to be a banner day :evilsmile and they quit biting :rant:, I marked fish by the hundreds and threw the kitchen sink at them, not another bite, walked off the ice at 5:00 and 2 1/2 hr. drive home. I gotta move closer to a better lk. Mike

Well I am going to the raft early tomorrow. Plan on staying all day. Weekend looks cold so good time to clean fish:D.
