I have tried to find a hot cajun seasoning with no luck. I tried all of the ones at grocery stores and fishing stores. Sadly the flavor I want is Hungry Howie's cajun crust seasoning. Not much taste and mostly hot. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Have you tried the "Cajun Shake"? I think I got it at Cabelas or Gander Mount. Its a dry seasoning, good stuff. I put it on anything that doesn't go well with jalapenos ( I like everything hot).

Yep tried the Cajun Shake and its not hot enough. Its good though.
I get the stuff in the big bottles at Gordon Food Services (GFS). It's a lot cheaper that way, less than half the price of grocery store bottles. Then I "fix" it with liberal doses of cayanne and hot pepper flakes.

take what ever cajun seasoning you like and add cayanne (red) pepper to it..That is the "hot stuff" used in most of those seasoning recipies

Also try http://www.tonychachere.com/ I tried the gravy mix, instant rioux, creole seasoning, hot creole, coconut shrimp batter and they are all superb. If you want cajun, check out Louisiana.;)

Dont know if you are a gardening kind of guy but if not..... I have been growing Habaneros, Cayenne, Thai, and other peppers the past few years. They are easy to grow! Then just dry them and you will have them for months to come! I have some Cayenne pepper olive oil that has a good kick but the Habs are the hottest!
