So I decided that I want to brew a porter this weekend but the recipe calls for a can (1.4lbs) of Alexanders Amber "Kicker". My question is what makes this a "kicker" I mean its LME. Does anyone know what can be subtistuted for it and not change the color or flavoring much? Thanks.
Not to mention the cost per pound it's almost 3 times as much as regular Amber LME!
