When the bungee cords inside of the support tubes break what do you guys do? Repair the cord? Replace the cord? Just leave it without the cord? If you repair/replace it, how do you prevent it from happening again?
I've had both of my cords break and repaired them using tiny zip-ties and they held up another season or two but now one side has broken and the other side is near breaking.

I just picked up some extra bungee and replaced it. Tried it without once and it's much nicer having the cord in there to line it up and keep things neat. I suppose you could wrap the section that is on the fold in electrical or duct tape.

Where did you get the proper length bungee or did you order from Shappell?
How are you preventing it from happening again?
I agree it is much nicer having the working bungees.

if you have the deluxe model with the two support bars on top, make sure you have the support stops facing in (nuts on the top part of the poles you are fixing) when you finish replacing the bungees. i had my finished only to take it apart and do it again.

Good Question Radar420. I wonder about that each time I set mine up. Haven't broken a bungee yet, but now I know where to get a replacement if it does happen. Thanks for the replies all.
