I have an Oneida Strike Eagle from about 10 years ago. I have not hunted in 7 years and would like to get back into archery. I got it out last fall and took a few shots with it and everything seams in working order.

My question is:

1.) Is there a bowshop in S.E. michigan that I could go to to help me inspect and tune up my bow. I would like someone who is very familier with this bow.

2) It apears that Onieda only made this model for a short time? is there anything that I should know about the reliability / quality / shortcommings of this model?

I would like to use this bow as a stepping stone before updating to somthing new (taditional or high tech).

Thanks,
-Jeff

Call them direct. I mailed my old Aero Force to them and had some work done with no problems. I dropped it from my tree and wanted to be sure it was still alright. That was before they moved to Michigan. You may wish to do the same.

I recently purchased a Oneida Aero Force; after getting video from another pro-shop and after taking it apart 3 times I believe I am pretty good at tuning these bows. I maybe mistaken but I believe the only difference between the Strike Eagle and the Aero force are the Upper Limbs and cams. If you like I could take a look at it for you.

Hello fellow Oneida Shooter!
Where are you located at in Michigan.
Claude, Matt (the Pollingtons) and the rest of the Buck Pole archery gang are located in Marion, Mi. This is the home of Oneida Eagle Bows. I would google them and give them a shout. I have been shooting Oneida for years and can tell you from experience that is is best to ask the pro's! But if you would like some one to take a look at your bow, I can give it a try. The biggest thing is to check all the cables, any abnormal sign of fraying or wear, DON'T pull it back. Also I would definately replace the string since it sat for so long. Best of Luck, any questions please give me a shout!!

Shoot Mikie Day a PM.
He lives in Milan. He can either help you out or point you in the right direction.

they only made the strike one year...early 90's...it was a great shooter , very quiet because of the shape of the outboard, but slow...alot of people converted them to aero forces ...but they are great in their stock configuration...there is a shop in whitmore lake...vans archery, he used to be a oneida dealer...i have sent people there in the past with good results.....

best advice if you cant find a shop (hardly any around anymore) to work on them is to ship it to oneida direct..call matt and talk to him he will get you all the info you need
