Fished lake Mecosta last weekend lots of ice not many fish. Going to the bay this weekend

Id appreciate a little info like whats lakes are good, what F.O.W. is good, Im new to this area and the idea of small lake fishing I'm used to fishing the Saginaw bay and river. thanks for any help. Pm me if you dont want to put info out please.
