I have read so much about the fishing in trout lake that I have finnaly decided to give it a try. I have heard about a perch spot in front of the brown cabin on the northwest side of the lake. also, I hear that the pike bite is really slow but the ones caught are HUGE. Is there truth to any of this?

Not I. Fished frenchmen once and didn't catch anything.

I rented a cottage for a week last summer on Carp/Trout Lake. Caught enough walleye for a couple dinners, but that was all. A lot of small fish. Did catch a couple decent pike, but nothing to write home about. I fished that lake hard too, tried everything in the box, fished every area of the lake. I'd go to Manistique Lake in Curtis of Brevort Lake for UP fishing myself. I've done much better in both those lakes. Best bet is Little Bay DeNoc though.

I have heard so much about trout lake though, I really want to give that a shot. Is there any other spots on the lake?
