Anybody doing any good in these Clare County lakes?? Haven't heard much just wondering what the deal is. A group of us are heading up to Harrison in two weeks and we've never been on these waters. Any advice would be helpful. Also, any party stores running specials on Busch Light near Harrison?? Thanks.

I know that you will find good numbers of any species in long lake as well as quality if you can find them. Most guys Walleye fish the drop off where the old marina is. I don't know which direction it is, but if you turn right off old 27 at Red's Bar, the first time you see the lake is where that is. The public access is around the other side though. I've done well on panfish working the drop offs around the islands, but that was a couple years ago.

Sounds good, we've got 8 guys going with 3 power augers and 3 vexilars. We should be able to split up and work some different areas until we can find them. It's encouraging to know that people have had succes out there, I'll let you know how we do.

Is there public access on Arnold, the co. map book doesn't show a boat launch...thanks...
The launch is on the north side. It is very steep & I don't think they plow it. Look it over before you pull in.

My aunt has a place on Arnold Lake and I have fished a lot in the summer for bass and done quite well both with size and numbers. I have rarely targeted panfish but have seen some nice bluegills and specs come out of there. Winter seems to be a different story. I have ice fished out there on several different occasions and never caught much of anything. A few small perch here, a couple small bluegill there, but that seems to be about it. There doesn't seem to be many other people out fishing on it ever either. If you do head over there, please let us know how you ended up doing.
