I just posted a review on the Bowtech Air Raid along with a videotaped interview with a company rep and photos while visiting the ATA show last week. Here's the link: http://michiganhuntingtoday.com/hooksandbullets/index.php/2009/01/13/bowtech-air-raid-debuted-at-the-2009-ata-show/

Mike- Did you find anything noteworthy or unique regarding the Air Raid that other past offerings from Bowtech did not possess? At first glance, this offering appears to be a lateral move for them with the only distinction being an odd weight in limbs.

If you don't mind someone other than Mike answering...

It has laminate limbs which is a first for them as far as I know...
It also posses a new "yoke style" cable system which is unique to this bow...

Wolverine pretty much summed it up. I didn't like the camo job on it to tell you the truth. It is pretty much just another bow with a few little changes here and there. Bowtech did admit the yolk system was in response to the cam lean issue they called "perceived" by bow owners. I do give them credit though by doing the recall on the General last year. That took guts to bring all those bows back in. That I think says a lot about the company.

I'm not what you would call a techy when it comes to bows. I love to shoot them and I'm still learning a lot about the tech side of it. That is why I try to keep the stories simple. I kind of got some stuff switched around and wrong on the PSE Omen story and took a beating for it on a couple of forums. I guess that is what I get for writing late at night and trying to edit video also. I went back and made a few small corrections. I do appreciate you guys taking the time to read the entries though. Video is more my specialty. I'm trying to combine the two (hunting and video) with some degree of difficulty trying to do it I might add. It is tough trying to train a person to shoot what I need. But we will eventually get it down. Thanks again.
