Trapping I have no idea, but coyote hunting is popular out there. My brother went there from El Paso called up 9 killed one.

Most of the hunting seasons close the end of February if I remember right.

Nope.

August 1 - March 31 is open season for Bobcat and Foxes as authorized in Commission Order 13. The season for Coyote and Skunk is yearlong.

Trying to figure out what else I could hunt/fish for but I guess fishing isn't much compared to up here.

I quail, dove and javelina hunted while living there many years ago. Just remember this...If it doesn't pick ya or poke ya, it'll bite ya or sting ya. The desert is not Michigan, you're not going to be in Kansas anymore Toto. Have fun out there but be safe.

Where are going to be staying? There are a few places I can stear ya to. A non res license will run ya about $150. That time of year your best bet will be coyote or Jack rabbits.

Well if you dont mind the possiblity of running into illegal aliens then head south towards Nogales and take the Airivaca highway at the town of Amado to mile post 17 head north. Youll find tons of coyotes and jacks. Remember you cant trap in Az. Also when you are in glendale head northwest towards Wickenburg plenty of places to hunt coyotes off the highway.

What about the Javelina (wild pig)? They are pretty common, but dont know about the seasons.
