Late Start this morning fished from 10.30 till 3.00 pm. Went out about 200 yards straight out from the ramp . About 50 guys out today.
8 inches of muddy ice and 6 feet of water. couldn`t see more than 2 feet deep. all that snow kept it dark, despite the cloudy water.
fished glow jigs with minnows.
Caught only 6 dinks and two keepers. Lot of guys took off after the wind started to pick up around 1.00 .
After we left , drove down to Ginos to take a look and seen a white pickup truck on the ice, 4 wheelers and a small compact car out about 150 yard out on the ice in front of the DNR access in front of Eddies drive in. NO WAY :tdo12:
going to wait another week before we pull out Quad.
Might try again tommrow :fish:

Thats crazy! Some people just don't know that if you take your car or truck on the ice and it goes trough, your insurance is no good.

Fished the day sail during the snow on Sat. Dink city. Had 5-10 fish on the camera at all times. Small,Small,Small.
Need I say more!

There's a loop hole with that too....

If you're talking about the pollution, when you say "mess", it's a non-issue. The DEQ has to be able to prove how much fluids were in your vehicle and prove that it contaminated the body of water. There's literally no way to do that. If a LEO or government official gets a bug up their butt, they might make you get it out or threaten you with a littering ticket,, other than that, they pretty much just leave 'em on the bottom.

Discovery Channel usually does the same documentary on this subject this time of year,,,,, the funny thing is,, it takes place on Saginaw Bay.

If you have less than 55 gals it is deemed a non-reportable quanitity. This according to Chemtrec.

I'll have to keep my eye out for that.

55 gallons would never be in my tank these days :)
