fished 1030am-630pm
1 Rockbass
Started in the canal along the marsh side of 154. Fished for a couple hours but visibility was low and NO bites.
Moved to a Marina after that. Water was much clearer and we actually saw fish! And as soon as we saw the dinks run off, a school of 5-7 small to med. sized Gills swam through the hole, completely oblivious to our jigging attempts and swimming minnows. After that, a few small pike and muskie swimming through, keeping our target fish away. Nothing until about 1 hour before dark, when the one lonely rockbass was caught. Saw a few perch come in close, not sizeable but keepers. They simply were not biting, which seems to be the case throughout the lake. Hope to get out next weekend, maybe try Harsen's again, but it is a drive.
Any suggestions for the island? Saw a few guys out in the Moot. Reports?
