Went into their today for the first time to get some ficious jigs and were almost out. Harry, you need to stock her up. But anyways, they have quite a selection of everything you need to ice fish, including live bait. Very friendly to talk to, and with detailed reports. I'll be back!

You saved me a trip! I tried calling over there today (and last weekend) to see if they got in another shipment of Ficious Jigs, but the phone number 411 gave me just rang and rang. Nice little bait shop there! Already picked up 16 Ficious jigs from there a few weeks back. :)

Jackie runs a class act, she's done alot with the place in a short time. I should have a small restock to her by the weekend. Mostly small stuff from my latest restock.

First, I'd like to say that I wish Ronnie and Dan the best, I know times aren't the best.

I offered Dan my jigs and he said he'd be happy to carry them(3 years ago). He told me that whatever I gave them to him for he would double the price:yikes:. Haven't felt the same about going there since. Hell, my son worked for them for a while and was treated well. I likewise have put most of their kids through college over the 30 years I lived there. I went there while the "Fishermans Friend"(Larry) owned the place. We go way back together.

I couldnt agree more. The employees at Lakeside treat you terrible. I have been to the 9 mile BP, and it is very refreshing to see someone treat you like a customer. What a concept.

The only way Lakeside will ever change is by fisherman going somewhere else.

Jackie was very nice to me, and I will always go there and give her my business.

Its been probably close to 10 years since I went to that other place on Jefferson. I HATED how they actually counted out a dozen minnows. Not 11 and not 13 you got EXACTYLY 12. I remember, back when I was a kid, Tommy's down at the foot of Alter........................that WAS the place to be!! Times change!

I've never ice fished south of Crocker. I'd like to go down there and support Nautical BP. What are the closest access points around there?

Go south down Jefferson to 9 Mile Rd. You can get off I-94 @ 9 Mile Rd and go east if its more easier. Right on the north east corner of the intersection. Across from Fishbones and Big Boys!

Blossom Heath, the Library or the VFW Park ........ all are just a bit north! And in that order.....I think!

Last Thurs the 8th I stopped by the BP to pick up some Fucious Jigs per Matt (WALLEYEvision) comments. Well I did not get a chance to get over earlier and when I finally got there no Zit's jigs. I was headed up to Simcoe to Pick up some perch. I was ready to leave when Jackie grabbed her lure box and pulled her own Ficious Jigs out and offered them to me. What a stand up person, I must commend you for going beyond the norm. Thank you again!
Tom

Our "guard dog" is really our customer greeter. Her name is bear and she used to work at wall mart as a door greeter. Lol just kidding! Bear loves to fish too! She does double as security personel though! She is a biggin!!

BP is great, My daughter was attacked by Bear just last week! We almost had to take Bear home with us. Next time my daughter wants to bring treats. Ok, ok so maybe my daughter attacked Bear. Easy to get in and out with the boat and trailer as well. One stop shopping. That said, I think Lakeside is a pretty good bait and tackle shop as well. They have taken good care of me for many years and have ordered whatever I needed if they did not have it in stock. Big Dave $6.00 is high for a can of propane. Be glad that they carried it!
