Interesting ice by the breakwall Saturday. Could see that the ice must have broken up at one time and refroze for surface was uneven and looked like a large jigsaw puzzle Dug a hole with my auger and pieces of ice about the thickness of 1/2" would float up. Had to clean the hole out continually to be able to get lure down. If I caught a fish (mostly small rockbass) pieces of ice would float up into the hole and I'd have to clean it out again. Never seen that before.
