Went out to Genos Sunday morning. Got out on the ice around 8:00am and drilled my first hole in 2ft of water. Picked up a few dinks right away and after about 10 minutes decided to start moving to deeper water. Water clarity was about 3ft and ice was a good 8 inches. To make a long story short. Tried 4ft, dinks. Tried 5ft, dinks. Moved out to 7 ft, dinks. Then tried 10ft, dinks. Decided to pack it in and try one of the canals behind metro. Lots of people fishing back there. I drilled a few holes in 7ft -10 ft of water and marked plenty of fish but couldn't get them to bite. Finally I caught one and guess what??? Another stinkin Dink!!! Caught a few more and then packed everything up and went home for dinner. It was a beautiful day on the ice I just wish the fishing was better. When are these dinks going to get bigger???:dizzy:
