Gino's report 1/10/09

Tried my luck at Gino's this morning drilled first holes at 8:30 inbetween Gino's and Beacons Cove about 8 fow nothing but a few dinks. Moved out away from the pack toward the 1st pressure crack again nothing. Made a couple of holes right at the pressure crack marked a few fish but nothing to write home about. Really didn't mark a lot of fish and what we did mark were small and very uncooperative. Saw one quad just beyond the 1st pressure crack ice was 9" at the crack. Other's we talked to were saying the same thing one guy had half a dozen 8"-9" fish for four hours of fishing. There was a small trailer in the lot where you could enter a tournament for biggest fish... when we left biggest was 11-1/2". I'm heading inland tomorrow afternoon going after walts and crappie. -Scott

Yup fished there this morning caught 1 keeper, brother-in-law caught the dinks. Very slow.:(

Drove by there this morning......man sure was a lot of fishin goin on. Don't sound like a lot of "catchin" though. Will be out in the morning probably at Metro, not as crazy:coco::coco::coco:

thanks for that report, planning on my first outting monday.. (12th)
think i`ll hold off on the quad for another week. real ice making weather coming for next weekend. talk to a fellow @ the local watering hole and they did pretty decent up at the raft last tuesday 6th
am partial to SANG myself , have had my best luck there in the last few years..:D

where's the clean water. went to cotton rd on the 7th could see about 3 feet. was clearing up. planning on going out tomorrow just wanted to know where is it clear

Was out at genos today 7 to 11 came home with 5 keepers 3 of them first thing in the morning thought I was in for a good day but I thought wrong there is just too many people out there on the weekend at least 150

Clean water is to the north. Fished up Fairhaven way this morning. Selfridge this afternoon. Like day and night in water clarity. Neither area provided any fish to speak of.

yes there were a lot of people but lets be honest the fish just aren't there right now. If we could get a little further out then maybe ....just maybe we might have a chance at some fish. I'll stick to the inland waters until a little later in the season, I need to venture out to new waters anyways.-Scott
