There's probably a few good places to fish in there with the dredged out boat lanes going to the various marinas. The problem would be access. There's no public access unless you:

A) Want to walk the 2 miles from Selfridge

or

B) want to die and think about crossing the Clinton River

My guess is you have some private access. There's also a little ditch that runs near the bank / docks starting at the back entrance of Mac and ray's and going down a ways toward the river (behind the houses on Conger Bay drive). It's 3-4 feet in front of that new stone castle / lighthouse looking home. Good luck.

We used to fish it alot YEARS ago when LSC had water, it was shallow then! Had a friend who lived in the sub to the west and we walked up the main canal. Jack's bay lounge was there too. I don't think I would bother with it as there are "better" places, but I have not fished it either. Reports will be minimal.

Tried it there Thursday --- 200 yards out it was 3 feet deep. Water clarity was only 8 or 10 inches. Stayed for 20 minutes and couldn't get a bite. Ice was 6 inches. :)

I believe that. The area is real nice as far as habitat. The summer has a lot of weeds with some good holes, depth around the docks, etc.
They'll be in there some time. Probably last ice.
I'd go there if I could park.

Jack's Bay lounge
Ah such fond memories, could drive down the ramp next to it too, right to your spot. Used to go there after for some brews and burgers. Really miss that place. Just like the old zinner's and gasow's marinas. Anyone recall them places?

That is actually the second restaurant that was there...Garwoods

There used to be a small bar/club on the very corner of the lot

When they first built Garwoods all they kept of the old Jack's was to pooper!. The place was an evironmental disaster from what I remeber; old gas dock. Moved it to Hall road and called it Aspens, have not been there. Jack's chili was the best after a cold day on ther Bay. Zinners and Gasows off of SRR absolutely, remember when there were vacant lots all up and down SRR?

Back to the fishing. The marinas on the Selfrige side were much better then the bay. Last 2 canals on the left were great for big gills and crappies. What was Blue Lagoon used to slay the perch. That was when you were okay to sneak in. Not like it is today.

I made a few friends recently that may dispute the Chili comment..........;)
But home made is always better than Restaurant style. Unless you find one that really hits your tastebuds between the eyes, so to speak!!!
