Weird Bite today, got a few(pics) 1/9/09

Weird bite today fellas. Tried our spot we have been doing decent at, figured with the weather moving in the bite would get hot. Never did. Marked alot of fish, all over the water column...from 6' down to 18'. All suspended fish would not bite. Caught about 20 fish, kept about 7....8"-12". Here is the really weird part. We fished with the standbys, Ficious Zitz in Glow Tiger, kept them moving nailed a bunch right off the bat...then they shut down. The fish would move in on the graph, stare then leave. We switched up and went thru the whole box. Nada. Went back to the Zitz.......and dead sticked em with a shiner.:lol: Crazy ass perch starting hitting again.....only if they were dead sticked.:yikes: Never seen something like that....would be like hearing they were hitting on a dead sticked flutter spoon!:tdo12: Anyways, taking the weekend off, gonna hit again on Monday.

Ohh almost forgot, cleaned em up and look in their guts....no bugs...all shiners. Hope it helps.

I didnt fish Lsc though.Where I fished the fish would come in reaaly fast out of nowhere and grab the bait realy aggresive like for 5-10 minutes then stop.Then they would just sit there and look at the bait and come up for a nibble.Then they would dissapear and come back and stare.Change baits they would come in and either stare at it or just nibble then dissapear again.I moved to different spots and the fish acted the same way.All the fish were on the small size.I was using wigglers.waxies,and small shiners.After 3 hours of chase and split I called a day.

i would guess this front that came in had something to do with this, but you would think they would want to feed agressive

I hear ya, my boy is 9 and he is tough as nails, been winter trapping for a few years now. My daughter is 5 and she has got a headcold, gonna be family time here at the house.:)
