Hit the ice at 7 am started out at geno's nothing no bites but the water was clear. I just wasn't feeling it here so I split.

Went by Metro beach and the DNR launch on south river rd. Sat in the car and watch people for a good 20 minutes. Didn't see much action at either place. Watch some guy off South river rd infront of the resturaunt throw back a bunch of little ones.

Last stop was Cotton rd. first hole I drilled I caught a nice 10" jumbo. Sat there for 45 minutes hoping there were more but no such luck. I ended up moving half a dozen more times and just caught a couple more small ones 4 inchers. The water was clear and the lake was frozen as far as I could see.

I just got home from Selfridge, same story - a few small perch. Fished about 1/4 mile north, out in front, then south toward the barracks. Water still fairly dirty; lost sight of a chartreuse jig about 4' down in 6' of water. Even the small fish seemed real tentative about biting.

It sounds like I need to wait a week or so to come up from Kentucky to catch fish other then the dinks you talk about.

The Aqua Vu was very helpful today, they were biting light and with the camera we could tell when to set the hook and when to keep it away from the dinks.
