What type of gear or gadgets did you buy this year. What worked and what didnt? Maybe we can save eachother some money next year?

That scent spray that comes in a can,, looks like silly string when you spray it. I used the tarsal and doe scent one. I don't know if it "worked",, but it sure didn't spook 'em,,,, even though it smelled like Krylon spray paint..:yikes:

For duck hunting my buddy bought those little orange torpedo looking propellers for the keels to make your decoys move a little bit..... They suck. Barely move the decoy and get stuck if there is any seaweed within 4 miles of it.

Wish I could have told you those are the biggest waste of money.

Well i bought a heater body suit this year for hunting up in Canada. While i must say this thing did the trick. I sat in 2 days of 38* rain and then 2 days of 20* with 40-50mph winds and never once got wet or cold. Now on the downside it is a little bulky in the stand and probably could have done the same thing in a sleeping bag but not the rain part. I am extremely happy with my buy with all considered. Easy and quiet to get out of for a shot when presented. Oh yeah and real handy during m/l season.

Big Buddy Heater. Found one on Craigslist for $50 (they are around $130 new), so I was excited. Its the one that uses two propane canisters and has a low oxygen shutoff, etc... I was going to use it on my boat for duck hunting. It works great on land, as long as there is no wind. The pilot light blows out easily, so it stays lit in the boat for about 30 seconds. Very dissapointed using it on the boat, but it sure heated up my bedroom fine when our power went out last month for a day.
