I happened to be in the right place at the right time and rescued a year old female beagle from going to the pound. I already have three beagles now and do not have the room or time for another perminent resident.

I have had her for a couple days now and she seems real nice. Does not seem like she was abused or anything. I would like to place her with a hunter. She is a year old and ready to start on rabbits, although she has yet to be in the woods. I was told that she is housebroken, but I have not verified. I tracked down the breeder and was told she was from good hunting stock. No papers though. If you get her started right away, she should be hunting this year. I believe that she will make a good pet and hunting companion.

Email me if interested.

Beagles can be great deer recovery dogs. Sounds like this one hasn't been broken from tracking deer yet.

April,

I have no takers yet, so let me know. She is a real friendly dog and I believe would make a good pet. If I can get some pictures with my digital camera, I will try to post.

Les Phillips took Dixie on Sunday. Good luck Les! It was a real pleasure meeting you and your family.
