How is the ice out there? I drove by because I couldn't find any stinking bait anywhere and wondered how everyone did out there. I couldn't believe all the people out there for a tuesday night.
Another question, WHERE THE HECK DO YOU BUY BAIT WHEN YOU FISH OUT THERE?????? Besides Brenners on West river. Does anyone else sell minnows and mousies near marne?
Thanks,
Brian

I stopped out this evening as well - although didnt fish or even venture out (still in work clothes - I work in Walker). I would assume you will get reports back of around 6" for the ice thickness (probably more, maybe slightly less in places). As for bait - brenners is the closest I know of (W. River Dr.), but keep in mind spikes, waxies, and mousies keep well in the fridge - I've kept them fine for well over a week. Gas stations might carry some as well (many do back in Muskegon anyway, Wesco for example). Just pick some up and store them - if you dont use them before they go bad, you should get out more!

Easy 6-7". I fished Monday from 2 til dark and had 1 bite. It didn't look like any one else was having much luck.
