Finally got all the hunting gear cleaned and put away for next year so I could move on to ice fishing. Went to Wamplers for a while yesterday. Spent most of the time looking for a good weedbed. After many miniature perch and sub sized gills I found what I was looking for. Naturally the sun was sagging in the west when I found it. Caught and released some eaters and had a suma come in for a look. Next time out should prove to be more interesting. It felt really good to be back on the ice with rosey cheeks and some sore muscles this morning from the walk across the shiny ice and back. There was from 4-6 inches of good ice and only occasional spots with some snow. Tight lines!
