As much time as i spend on the water i have never pulled a pike threw the ice. Where in south east michigan can i get on good numbers of pike this weekend? Would like to set tip ups while i try for some gills. Thanks for any info you can offer,

I hear the stringy lakes aren't bad for pike. Sigman keeps telling about a lake he used to ice fish for pike... I think it's called Silver lake but I don't know if it's in SE michigan.

Bigger lakes here in oakland county that are supposed to have some giant Pike are Union lake and Orchard lake. Two smaller lakes here in oakland county that would hold some fun(by fun I mean smaller pike but big numbers of fish)fishing middle staights and Long lake here in oakland county as well, but I really wouldn't recommend either of these smaller lakes to keep you busy pan fishing while waiting on a tip up.

Kent lake. Try out by turtle island. I've seen some monsters out of there.

Lakeville Lake, from my experience, has some good amounts of pike.

Theres a ton of pike in Four Mile lake. Alot of hammer handles but plenty of big ones too.

I'll second the four mile suggestion if you prize quantity over quality. I haven't been there in a while (last time I went someone at the launch busted a window on my truck to break in), but flags are pretty common there (as are hammerhandles as noted above).

yea i fish fourmile in the summer often. Maybe i will have to try it there this winter. I think i found my lake though from a PM a member was nice enough to send me. If that falls through i will try some more lakes since most will be on the way home from said location.
