Thinking about putting a long weekend trip together with a few friends. Target fish ? PERCH.

I saw that post on Burt lake and that 13" he was holding up. That got me wanting a nice pile ov'um.

Looking for advice on a Northern Lower lake for nice fat, deep yellow, gut hangin, hard tuggin, sweet tastin PERCH.

Hubbard ??? Long Lake near Alpena ??? Burt ???

Maybe a few contacts as far as bait shop numbers ect...

I have a old school friend that live on Mullet Burt road... which runs between both of the lakes. He fishes Mullet most of the time just because its with in a 1/4 mile from his front door....
I talk to him at least once a month this time of year just to see how the fishing been....
use to fish up there all the time back in the late 80's early 90's....
was think of going my self just for a vist some time this month... then to my parents place over in Rogers City....
They do get some good catches of Perch out of Burt... its a very big lake and it can be very hard to fish in the winter.... you may want to look in to Lake Van Etten over by Tawas... lots of Perch in that lake. they do run the small side thow....
but the the bay [Tawas] is close and don't foreget Saginaw is close to Tawas....
