Well its that time of year again, The boys at work have decided on going up to the cabin in Lewiston this year for our ice trip. Plan on fishing West Twin for sure, and another lake called McCormick? Was wondering how the fishing has been up that way and If any of the locals could give me an idea where to start, would like to get into some eyes and perch maybe some trout or smelt if possible. Also I heard thru the grapevine that the bait shop we used to go to is now closed? Where can we get some bait fellas? Thanks again and hope to see ya on the ice come Jan. 23,24,25!

Very slow I have been on w/twin several times and have no luck

only did McCormick once so far and it was slow also as I talked with other that were out there

Yes Herb's did close you can get bait at Woody's mrkt next to the post office, right near where Herb's was

I've never fished twin or mccormick but I have ice fished Avery lake with no luck, many times. If I were you I would drive a little ways and fish fletchers flood waters for crappie and pike. Bait shops right on shore and much better fishing

good luck

Fishing has definitly been very slow in the area. Fished McCormick with very little to show for and West twin. My dad lives up there and has been fishing those lakes pretty hard w/ little results. But could change anytime. Very good ice out there. You can get Minnows at the newer ACE hardware and at the gas station, which use to be Mickey's. At the Big Bear trading post they only have waxies.
