Good thing I bought 2000 gallons of gas last month!

Just kidding. The thought did cross my mind though.

Just kidding. The thought did cross my mind though.

Its not that crazy, except I think gas only has a shelf life of about 6 months. Bob, I'll see if I can find my A game, but as the season came to a close last year, I was only producing B- work. maddening.

I think I paid $3.59 when I put her away in Nov.

Should burn that tank fishin the river before I run up to Sanny for May.

Hopefully it stays around 2 bucks, but I doubt it...

As long as crew members can fish, I should be able to make the tournament trail....

I will always miss fishing the Blue Water Classic, but I think that fishing these charitabe events are the future of tournament fishing. They give you the most value for your buck and with strong Donor Support, they offer the closest relationship to a full fledged sponsored professional event such as Bass Masters and the WPT. It's a win-win contest for all!

Great job Benny! See you at the show-down.

I think we all miss fishing the BWC. Like you said product sponsorship is better this year then ever. Our sponsors have really step'd up to the plate. Even though were only paying out top 3, you have a chance to take home some GREAT VALUE prizes for 4th, 5th, & 6th. There will also be great prizes in our Raffle giveaway....and if you get your entry postdated by MAY 1st 2009 you could fish the HB-MDA Can Can for !!!FREE!!! with a raffle draw after the captains meeting at "Lets go Fishing" bait shop in Harbor Beach.

Bottom line is MDA gets 20% of the entry's and 100% of the raffle money. Everything else goes back to you.... the capt and crew that help support this event.

Thank you all!

In our first year we had a little under 20. Last year mother nature told us we would be fighting 4-6 footers. Between gas cost & mother nature our 2008 entries were not as good.

As long as mother nature does not throw us a curveball and gas stays under $2.00 we should be ok. I think by changing our date, lowering entry & giving out a free fishing ticket for all early entry's we should reach our goal over 20 boats.

Allmost all of our vauled sponsors are back and a few new ones! The prizes alone are an eye full and captains & crews should not be dissapointed.

Thanks

Andy we do not have a minimum, each boat has it's captain. The captain needs to determine if he/she wants to fish Lake Huron with it's current fishing conditions. Early in this season there is no need to head for 50-60-70 or even 150fow. Most boats last year were within 2 miles from shore, but 6-8 miles in either south or north direction.

We will not be fishing in small craft advisory conditions unless it comes during the tournament and not prior to shove off. If so, it is then at the discretion of the captain to come in early or not and be in the harbor by the 1pm deadline.

Thank you,
Ben

Bob,

There is a local just south of HB. I have seen him shove off shore in a canoe and a 1.5hp motor. He sets 2 in-line boards out far and one behind him, a lead core or somthing. He trolls that 5-10 fow where we dont dare go in. Seen him catch a few nice chromer's.

I was in a 38 Pursuit in the last BWC on Sunday. I think there was 8-10 footers in 60 fow at the time. We had water come over the stern, bow, roof, toilet!! Everywhere while trolling.

Adventure you say? Yeh WHATEVER!:lol: I'm still dizzy and that was 4 years ago!
