Fishing Report

Went fishing on New Years Eve and had my limit of bluegills by early afternoon. Went home, set the fish on the counter to be cleaned and when I went downstairs to grab something, I heard a "bang" something hit the floor. My lab ran downstairs to meet me and I could tell right away that someone was going to be in trouble. Sure enough I get upstairs and my GSP has a fish in his mouth. So now I'm short of my limit by 1.:mad:

I took my kids ice fishing on New Years Day. They were both busy catching and releasing bluegills. My daughter decided to keep 1 8" to replace the one the dog took the day before. All of a sudden, there it was, a pike getting ready to hit my sons bait. He jigged the wax worm, and the pike slammed the bait and the fight was on. With some help from dad, he was able to land this 26" pike using 2lb test and UL rod.

Each time he tells someone his fish story, the fish just keeps getting bigger and bigger.:D

Poor kid, now he has to get a job and start earning enough money to start collecting all the gear he'll want. :lol:

What a great pic! Maybe it's the size of the fish in contrast to the little dude but he looks like a mini-man! The expression on his face is great too! Hard not to smile looking at that! :)
