Managed 5 Eyes today

Had a good day on the lake today. To thin for the quads still. Yep, had to walk out. The area I like to fish had me walking on 3 to 4" of ice. Plenty, but still a little spooky at times.

Was on the lake at 5:00 Am, they turned on around 5:30 and then shut down about 7:00 Am... So I heading home for a bit and had a snack, well, ok a huge lunch them headed back out around 4:00ish.. Bingo, once it was close to dark they went on the feed again and itlasted for about a 1/2 hour. Had several under sized that I released, nice looking lil fellas too.

Instead of inserting the photos on here it was easier to just load them onto my lil website. They are at the bottom of my fishing page under "2009 Ice fishing"

I must say the Michigan DNR's stocking programs have worked well for our inland lakes.

I am receiving PM's asking what lake ??? All the lakes in Oakland county that have had stocked Walleye in them are producing nice fish.

Go to the DNR site and do some research. There is a ton of good info there. Then get out there and work the likely areas for Walleye.

Two key factors I feel are the most important on inland lakes. Good electronics and be super quite.
