With the new season of shows starting, what's Your favorite/least favorite ?????? My absolute fav is Linders Angling Edge, followed by The Next Bite and ESPNs World Greatestest fishing show w/Michigander Mark Zona (He CRACKS Me up !). On My dislike list, I ABSOLUTELY refuse to watch Beat Charley Moore (ESPN) - I'd like to BEAT Charley SEVERELY ---- about the head/neck and shoulders  - what a PUTZ ! That and Fishing with Roland Martin - any more it's a rolling infomertial. One day (just for shiggles), I counted how many times He mentioned sponcers name/products in a 1/2 show - it was like 57 :yikes:. OK - I got the ball rolling, what say You ????? C-man

Got to name the sponsors, they pay for the show. Kinda like watching an interview with a NASCAR driver. Every other word is about a sponsor.

Watching an ice fishing show right now on the Sportsman channel.

I watch all I come across.

I too like Angler's Edge with the Linders. I'm also partial to Fishing411 with Mark Romanack. Very informative shows.

Just watched The Spanish Fly and he used "You Know," and "Bro" 42 times in one program. Without "You Know," "Bro," "Dude," "Sweet," and recently, "Sick," he would have no dialogue...

"Bro", "You Know" it is "Sick" all the "Sweet" places that "Dude" gets to fish.

Ultimate Match Fishing!!! Followed by Angling Edge.

Least favorite is a tie:

Bill Dance and Roland Martin. Can't stand either show. But you just have to watch them when they are on... it's like a train wreck... you just have to watch!

Thanks, I needed that...

The only show that is worse for the "You know" speech malady is the one with the two captains out of Fla, you know...

My favorite has to be Ultimate Match Fishing w/ Joe Thomas on OLN...great format. I also like ESPN's Bassmasters and FSN's FLW coverage (not the Redfish tour though).

The only one's I really don't watch are fly fishing and deep sea fishing shows. There's usually something that can be gained from all of them though...even Roland and Bill, like them or not they've probably forgotten more about fishing than most will ever know;)

Yeah, 11:00 on Sunday mornings... FLW is on my t.v. set. Nice thing about that show is it's a full hour long.

I'll watch just about any show that is on but World's Greatest is one of my favorites.

Tred Barta and Mike Iaconelli's or however you spell his name, have got to go.

May be... but I've NEVER fallen out of my boat, had a snake fall on me, or given a name to a bass I've caught more than one time (and I did catch the same fish twice in the same day... 10 hours apart!)

Lindners are my favorites too.

Anyone else wonder (like me) why they'd create In-Fisherman, then leave the show, then start another one? Odd.

I'm glad they did though. In-Fisherman has become one big commercial and promotion of their pro tours.

Jerry - I believe that Al & Ron both wanted to retire + Al's Wife had some health issues. Bored with retirement, The Angling Edge was born. C-man

The one sponsored by BPS is my favorite. I've learned more from that show than any other. The segments by the various pros packs a lot of information into a short time period. Van Dam's segments are especially informative. Linder's Angling Edge is my next favorite. Anyone using Lund boats with Minn Kota trolling motors has to have some good advice.

Lindners, Babe winkleman and Mark Romanak, or other shows featuring Michigan species and locals. You can keep those match fishing shows
they take all the fun and relaxation out of the sport.

I'm glad they did though. In-Fisherman has become one big commercial and promotion of their pro tours.

The Linder brothers sold In-Fisherman to a large media corporation and then simply went out and began their business anew - with similar success. As far as In-Fisherman's pro tours, the PWT folded after last season and you won't see it again. I still think In-Fisherman is a good show, with brief snippets of quality information on how to set up rigs, what equipment to use, where to fish, etc... I like it a lot better than watching ol' "Billy Bob" catching 6 lb. bass out of his uncle's farm pond over and over again with no educational value!

I want to know HOW to improve my own fishing, not simply watch somebody catching fish.

With that in mind, there are 3 fishing shows that I watch all the time:

1. Fishing 411 with Mark Romanack (And yes, I do have a bias here! I better watch it...I help produce it!)
2. The Next Bite
3. In-Fisherman

(And for those interested, the new season of Fishing 411 begins this week with an Ice Fishing for Perch show - lots of information on how you can duplicate our success! Over the next few weeks we'll have Saginaw River Walleyes, Lake Erie Steelhead, Walleyes on Spinners & St. Clair Smallmouths)

Angler Edge, In-Fisherman, Michigan Out of Doors (I'll miss Kelly), Fishing 411 (Locations of interest, and fish of interest) FLW outdoors (Which is filmed and produced by the Linders), BASSMASTER, I don't care for Charlie Moore, I did however e-mail the show and invite Charlie to a little jigging contest on the Detroit River. I'll wear my Winged Wheel against his Bruins and we fish outside the Joe during playoff season. I never got a response back.

What, you guys don't like watching Roland Martin "Boca Grip" everything in sight and then brag to his grandson about how his bass was bigger? I think he ought to try those things on Charlie Moore to see if they could hold his big mouth shut.

I enjoy Angling Edge and Next Bite, but that seems to be a consensus.
