Cold weather reel problem. Solution?

I use the Okuma Stinson and Mitchell 300x for the ice season. In real cold weather the drags tighten up, not that big of a deal but can be pain loosening the drag 3-5 times during an outing. I plan to disassemble the reels, especially the Stinsons, clean off the grease and re-lube. Does anyone have any suggestions on grease/lube or any ideas to solve this?

it maybe a problem with thermo expansion & not the grease

Frabill SUB ZERO 6 bucks a tube. Not for the drag but it will work inside the reel gears and bearings. Capnhook
